Lisa M. Ouellette, CPCU, CAIP - President
Lisa is President and Co-founder of JCL Aviation Services. Lisa has been in the aviation insurance industry for 30 years. She started her career as an underwriter for Associated Aviation Underwriters and then moved to the brokerage side of the business working as aviation specialist for Marsh and then Wachovia. Lisa’s experience encompasses working with large and small airports, a wide variety of corporate operators, flight schools and aviation product manufacturers. A key area of specialization for Lisa is aviation accident response planning. She has developed programs for numerous entities, including FORTUNE 500 companies.
Lisa earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2005. She is a long-standing member of the Aviation Insurance Association (AIA) and was inducted into the AIA Eagle Society in 2016 for dedication and substantial contributions to the aviation industry. She received Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designation in 2018, and in 2021 was awarded CAIP Gold Status. The AIA awards the CAIP Gold status to its members with CAIP designation who have demonstrated their sustained commitment to the aviation insurance profession through industry leadership, regular participation in the AIA and other industry organizations, and ongoing involvement with industry educational.
Lisa is a member of the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association, Women in Aviation International, The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International, Vertical Aviation International, and the CPCU Society. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerotechnology from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She is a licensed commercial pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings and is a Certified Flight Instructor.
Jason F. Ouellette, Vice President
Jason is Vice President and Co-founder of JCL Aviation Services. His primary focus is on business operations, sales, and non-traditional insurance services. Jason began his aviation career as a Crew Scheduler with Kitty Hawk International, an aircraft cargo company. He also has experience with both commercial airline operations and business aviation operations. He spent time with Allegheny Airlines (U.S. Airways Express) as the Manager of Crew Scheduling and with Pentastar Aviation as an Account Manager, where he served as the customer liaison between Pentastar and numerous Fortune 500 companies and high net-worth individuals. Jason has extensive experience negotiating contracts and representing clients when their aircraft is off-site for maintenance, paint, or interior refurbishments. He has also represented clients during new aircraft purchase, completions, and delivery. Jason’s experience also includes working with one of the leading aircraft manufacturers as a Manager of Customer Completions & Delivery.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Sciences from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is a private pilot with a multi-engine and instrument ratings and is a member of the Alpha Eta Rho Aviation Fraternity.
